The 5th PhilBeauty expo opened today at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City, the Philippines, with an exciting Barber Show happening right after the ribbon cutting ceremony. The concept behind this opening performance is to promote the men’s hairstyling market, giving the audience a better understanding of the hair industry.
Organizing Chairman Mr. CP Saw opened his remarks in Filipino to greet the audience. In his speech, Mr. Saw mentioned of the merger between exhibition giants Informa and UBM and will organize 16 exhibitions under a unified brand. He is also optimistic with the future of the beauty industry, according to survey data from Globaldata, the cosmetics & toiletries industry in the Asia Pacific region is expected to grow an average of 6% annually within the next 5 years.
Now in its 5th year running, PhilBeauty has featured 4 new exhibition segments, which are the Finished Products segment, the Beauty Supply Chain segment, Professional Beauty & Hair segment, and Locally Manufactured Products segment. Suppliers and professional buyers from Southeast Asia and the world can experience a full range of beauty products and services, and can exchange industry knowledge and participate in industry innovation seminars together.
