When Miko started his very first salon 26 years ago, he used transparent glass as the façade of his salon. Most of the hair salons at the time used a dark colour design theme due to social culture differences. Having the bold attitude to be different, his hair salons attracted many and the business is booming. Miko’s hair salons always have a very modernize design, and so is his latest hair salon in Pavilion. The way he designed it, contemporary furnishing embellished with floral pattern, creating a balanced and comfy mood in the salon.
Although Miko is a hairdresser; but he has a professional view with innovative ideas on interior design. In this interview, Miko shared some crucial precautions points in setting up basic necessities in the hair salon such as electrical system and piping. We have the freedom in choosing and planning the interior design, but not in building up the basic necessities like wiring and piping as it must be designed and installed by the professionals to ensure the safety of the hair salon.
